WWR #4 (Women) Valora Salinas vs. Father Nathan
Wrestling Midwest
Graveyard Shift 98
Thursday October 15th
Jack Gene – And now, we come to the match that a lot of people have been waiting for and a match that you can be sure has Ryven’s attention backstage as it has implications for him at El Dia ‘09.
Bill Hughes – That’s right… if Father Nathan and his God pick up the win here, he will become the number one contender. If Valora wins, she has to fight Father Nathan again next week and beat him then as well to become the number one contender… it’s just unfair.
Jack Gene – No, it’s math. Father Nathan has 4 pts. Valora has 2. If Nathan wins, he will have 6 pts and Valora have 2, making it near impossible for her to catch or overcome him before El Dia. If Valora wins, then her and Nathan will be tied at 4 pts. Valora has overcome every challenge thrown at her so far, I don’t see this one as being unfair to her at all.
Bill Hughes – She’s wrestling Nathan and a God! How is that not unfair?! And she has to beat them twice!!
Jack Gene – Well, as a religious person myself, I personally find myself kinda rooting for Father Nathan. The Catholic Church and religion in general inspire people to be better then they are.
Bill Hughes – Valora doesn’t seem to need religion to be the awesome wrestling goddess she is. The fact that she is bat[beep] crazy just makes her hotter. You know how crazy girls are in bed…
Jack Gene – You’re aware that Valora might just try to rip your spine out for that kinda remark, right? Anyways, let’s go to ringside where Wayne Inkster is ready to introduce the fighters.
Wayne Inkster – Ladies and Gentlemen, our next match is a Ace Superior Division challenge and is set for one fall. If Valora wins this match, she will challenge Father Nathan again next week for the number one contendership to the Ace Superior title! And now onto the introductions of the fighters… Introducing first, hailing from the City of Angels, Los Angeles, California. She stands 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs in at 150lbs. She is a member of the Pinnacle of Power and the last Hardcore Champion in WMW history. She is VALORA!!!!
[The arena darkens a bit. After a few moments, 'Prayer' by Disturbed begins to play. The lights slowly grow to a dim lighting As soon as the light comes on a bit and Valora is seen walking out from the back, a bored and very confident expression on her face as she stares at the ring, meanwhile, on the videotron, a clean blue Bandanna is shown with a gunshot ringing out and blood slowly forming on the bandanna as the name Valora appears and a quick cut shot of Valora laughing and smiling is shown. The video then moves to show some of her extreme moments in the ring from past matches, every few shots cutting back to Valora grinning sadistically and/or laughing. As she walks down the rampway, the very confident, almost bored expression never leaves her face and we see that she is wearing make up around her eyes of a golden yellow color that is painted on the outside edges of her eyes moving towards the side of her head. As she reaches the ring, she pauses, visibly chewing gum and makes her way slowly up the stairs and into the ring, holding her hands up and enjoying some of the cheers she gets. She then moves to her corner and yawns, leaning back against the turnbuckles as she looks up towards the entryway.]
Wayne Inkster – And introducing her opponent. Hailing from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. He stands 6 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs in at 240lbs. He is the conscience of WMW, he is FATHER NATHAN!!!!!
[The crowd cheers wildly as The lights in Arena dim and a Gregorian chant is heard echoing throughout the arena. The voice of Fr. Nathan is heard singing a brief line in Latin. The entrance music then starts as 'Hands on the Bible' by Local H plays over the speakers as Fr. Nathan walks out, his cross strapped to his back, dressed in the black robes of a catholic priest. He pauses a moment and looks around at the crowd, smiling as he nods his head to them and adjusts his dark colored shades, making his way down to the ring, slowly but steadily. He unslings his cross, laying it to rest at ringside, unfolding a stand to allow the cross to stand. He then kneels down before the cross, making the sign of the cross, and recites the prayer of serenity before standing and climbing into the ring. He then asks for Inkster's microphone and looks to Valora as he takes the microphone handed to him.]
Father Nathan – You know… I realized a few things on my way down to the ring here tonight… I went to Notre Dame as a student, now teach there and work there as a Priest… you graduated and competed for USC… that means… we got us an impromptu match-up for the Jeweled Shilleagh… USC Trojans vs the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame… And recent history aside… the Fightin’ Irish still own USC on the the field of American Football…. Don’t expect to be changin’ that here, lass…
[Father Nathan hands the mic back to Inkster as the crowd goes nuts and Valora narrows her eyes, mouthing a response back that is thankfully not picked up by the mics as it is obviously not family friendly. The bell rings and the two walk to the middle of the ring as Valora looks up at Nathan not intimidated by him at all. Nathan takes a boxing stance, holding his arms up and gestures for Valora to do the same. Valora looks around and the two exchange words before Valora nods and assumes a boxing stance as well.]
Jack Gene – What the hell…? When did this become a boxing match?
Bill Hughes – Pride, idiot. The Irish have traditionally been considered to be the best boxers in the world, now it’s Mexicans who are considered to be the best… these two are defending their cultural heritages..
[Nathan lunges in and throws a left cross right cross combination but Valora ducks and weaves, expertly avoiding both punches and hits Nathan with a rising left jab to the face. Nathan isn't phased and urges Valora on and Valora growls and lunges in, hitting Nathan with three quick left jabs and a right cross. The jabs do no damage and the cross sends Nathan back a step and a half and he shakes his head, smiling a bit.]
Jack Gene – Valora made a mistake here though…Nathan outweighs her by 90lbs. Her quick punches aren’t gonna do much damage to him.
[Just then Father Nathan throws a lunging right punch and Valora pivots on her foot, spinning around out of the way of the punch and jumping into the air, landing a right hook as she comes down, putting her full weight behind the blow and sends Father Nathan crashing to the mat.]
Bill Hughes – That’s when she hits him with something like that.
[Valora walks over and pulls Father Nathan to his feet but he counters with a punch to the gut and then jumps to his feet, hitting Valora with a European uppercut that knocks her flat on her back. As Father Nathan walks up and pulls Valora to her feet, Valora sees that Pier is out of position and hits Nathan with a low blow and jumps to her feet, holding Father Nathan, keeping him bent forward with one of his arms behind her back and she then rolls forward, taking Father Nathan to the mat Ranhei style as she rolls through the move to her feet and bounces off the ropes and runs to Father Nathan, hitting him with a double leg drop in the gut before jumping to her feet and hyping herself up, shaking her body as she jumps up and down in place. She runs off the ropes again but Nathan gets up and catches her with a Spear, taking her to the mat hard. Father Nathan pulls Valora to her feet and the two start exchanging punches before Nathan gets the edge and whips her into the corner, running in after her and hitting her with a splash. He then turns his back to Valora while she's still in the corner and slowly pats his Elbows before hitting Valora with rapid fire left and right elbows for about 20 seconds or so before walking out of the corner as Valora drops into a seated position, dazed by the attack.]
Jack Gene – Valora trying to get untracked here, but Father Nathan wisely cutting it off in the bud and has gone with what gives him the best chance to win, high impact moves.
[Father Nathan turns and runs into the corner, climbing up to the second turnbuckle and jumps into the air, trying to plant both of his feet into Valora's gut but Valora drops and rolls out of the ring and Father Nathan hits the turnbuckle groin first a loud audible groan of shared pain escaping from the crowd as Father Nathan groans out in pain. Valora grabs each of Nathan's feet and locks in a figure 4 leglock around the turnbuckle, holding it as Father Nathan screams in pain and Luna Pier begins to count, reaching 4 before Valora releases the hold and slides back into the ring.]
Bill Hughes – then he tried to play Valora’s game and missed badly… which serves him right.
[Valora gets into a ready position as Nathan gets to his feet, favoring his leg. Valora drops into a 3 point stance and sprints up and out of it before diving and hitting Father Nathan right in the knee with her shoulder, taking him back to the mat with a chop block. She then quickly jumps up and locks in an STF and locks it in but Nathan quickly grabs the ropes and Luna Pier calls for the break and Valora again waits until 4 and breaks the hold, getting up and kicking Father Nathan in the ribs as he tries to get up, before backing up. Nathan charges forward but Valora takes him to the mat with a drop toe hold and jumps to her feet, hitting the ropes and nailing Father Nathan with a dropkick to the face as he tries to get up. She then runs back to the ropes and tries for a standard moonsault but Nathan gets his knees up and plants them into Valora as she lands on him, causing her to roll off holding her sides.]
Jack Gene – And Valora is picking up speed and moving up to her usual pace, but Father Nathan was one step ahead of her on the moonsault attempt.
Bill Hughes – Well, Valora will rebound… she’s gonna beat the crap out of Nathan and his God too.
[Nathan gets up, still favoring his leg and pulls Valora to her feet, lifting her up and dropping her gut first onto his knee, pulling her up and pushing her back into the corner where he hits the fighting Irish combo, his fists slamming into her gut and midsection, as he finishes up with that, he backs up and slams into Valora with shoulder thrusts, continuing to focus on Valora's midsection. After the 4th shoulder thrust, Pier steps in and tells Nathan to back up and let Valora out of the corner. He does so and Valora drops to a seated position, holding her side.]
Jack Gene – Smart move by Father Nathan here. If Valora can’t breathe, she can’t keep up her high paced style of offense and that makes it nearly impossible for her to beat him.
Bill Hughes – You’re an idiot.. Valora doesn’t need oxygen… she needs a certain chemical her body is already producing.. She’ll make a comeback… I’ll bet you she wins.
[Father Nathan pulls Valora to her feet and lifts her up into position for the Go To Sleep and the crowd starts chanting the lullaby song but as he lifts her up Valora slips off his back and grabs him in the Tazzmission, taking him to the mat. Luna Pier checks for the submission, but then looks closely and orders Valora to break the hold. Valora ignores her and she counts to 4 before Valora finally relents and gets up, arguing with Pier about the hold.]
Valora – What the [Bleep] are you doing?!
Luna Pier – That’s a choke hold Valora! Break it up and leave it alone! Do it again and I’ll DQ you!
Jack Gene – Well looks like Valora made a unusual mistake there, forgetting one of her preferred submission holds is technically a choke hold, which is illegal to use outside of hardcore and no DQ matches.
Bill Hughes – She didn’t forget! She’s not an idiot. If the ref misses it or lets it go, it isn’t cheating and she got to choke Father Nathan for 4 seconds… and with a hold like thetazzmission, 4 seconds takes a lot of air out of the lungs.
[Father Nathan gets to his feet and grabs Valora, turning her to face him before whipping her into the ropes, as she comes off, he bends down too early telegraphing his move and Valora hops into the air, rolling over his back and landing on her feet and running without missing a step and hits the ropes on the other side, Father Nathan ready for her as he throws her up into the air, going for a high impact move, but Valora counters and plants both of her feet into Father Nathan's face, sending him to the mat. Valora hops to her feet and hops up to the turnbuckle, waiting for Father Nathan to recover. As he gets to his feet, she leaps off, only to be caught by Father Nathan who picks her up into a fireman's carry and spins around a couple of times before running towards the center of the ring and hitting Valora with a forward roll, driving his shoulders and full body weight into her midsection. Father Nathan pulls Valora to her feet and grabs her from behind, pausing a second before lifting her up for a German suplex, but Valora spreads her legs out and blocks the attempt by increasing her vertical base. Father Nathan tries again and Valora blocks it again and spins, reversing the hold. Instead of trying for the German Suplex, Valora grabs Nathan's arms and tries to turn him around, going for an unprettier type maneuver but Father Nathan tries to block with his size and does so, quickly turning the tables and turning Valora around and hooking her in a position for a DDT or vertical suplex. He chooses Vertical suplex but Valora counters, sticking a leg inside his and Nathan tries again, with the same result, and as she comes back down, Valora rolls up Nathan in a school boy and Pier drops to the mat 1....2....Father Nathan kicks out and both competitors rolls to their feet, looking at each other as the crowd cheers and applauds the exchange.]
Jack Gene – Wow, a surprising show of technical ability there for these two wrestlers. Valora went back to her amateur wrestling background and nearly picked up the win there.
Bill Hughes – Boring! I wanna see Valora bust Father Nathan in the face with a chair!
[Father Nathan and Valora circle each other for a few seconds, plotting their next moves. Father Nathan calls for a lock up and Valora nods, moving closer, but before they lock up, Valora kicks Father Nathan in the gut and takes him down with a double arm DDT. She covers and Luna Pier counts 1.....2....Nathan kicks out. Valora pops up to her knees and sighs in frustration, before getting up and adjusting Nathan's body and bending over, giving him the finger and yelling out 'You can't beat me!' the Crowd calling it out with her as she runs to the ropes and bounces off, walking back to Nathan as she makes the motion of brushing dirt off her shoulder and drops her fist onto Nathan's forehead. Valora hops up to her feet and measures Nathan, waiting for him to get to his feet.]
Jack Gene – Valora’s got something in mind… she’s measuring him up…
[Father Nathan gets to one knee trying to get to his feet and Valora runs forward, jumping into the air, and hits Nathan with a hurrancanrana, driving him face first into the mat. She jumps up to her feet and runs to the corner, jumping up to the top turnbuckle and leaping off, hitting the Aztec Moonsault and goes right into the cover. Luna Pier drops and makes the count 1.....2......3! The bell rings and Valora jumps to her feet, holding her right hand up into the air, the very confident, almost bored expression on her face replaced as she starts waling to the back.]
Wayne Inkster – Ladies and Gentlemen, your winner, by pinfall VALORA!!!!
Jack Gene – And Valora continues her winning streak, defeating Father Nathan and moving on to fight him next week for a chance to be the number one contender for the Ace Superior Championship! Things are really heating up here.
Bill Hughes – Ha! I told you she’d win! And she’ll come back and kick his ass again next week too…
